ABOUT US

Reviving Energy , Redefining Recycling .

At MH Lion Metals, we specialize in innovative lithium battery recycling and recovery of critical minerals through a unique approach — not only do we recycle waste batteries responsibly, but we also focus on reusing viable battery cells to extend their lifecycle. Our advanced processes enable us to reclaim valuable materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel efficiently while minimizing environmental impact.

With a strong global presence, we manage critical raw material supply chains worldwide, ensuring the sustainable and secure sourcing of essential battery components. By integrating recycling, cell reuse, and strategic supply chain management, we are committed to advancing the circular economy and supporting the global transition to clean, sustainable energy.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to drive India toward self-reliance in energy storage materials by revolutionizing the way lithium batteries are recycled and reused. We aim to reduce the nation's dependency on imported raw materials and minimize the environmental footprint of energy storage through a fully circular, mining-free model.
We achieve this by deploying cutting-edge recycling technologies capable of identifying and processing each lithium battery chemistry—such as LFP, NMC, and LCO—separately, ensuring the highest purity and recovery of critical metals like lithium, cobalt, and nickel. This chemistry-specific approach allows us not only to reclaim strategic resources with unmatched efficiency but also to enable the direct remanufacturing of battery cells using the recovered materials.

  • Responsible collection and safe handling of end-of-life batteries
  • Precision material separation through advanced, eco-friendly processes
  • Strategic reuse of viable cells to extend battery life
  • Reintegration of recovered metals into the domestic supply chain
  • Scaling our model across India and globally to support a sustainable, Aatmanirbhar energy future

Through these steps, we are creating a cleaner, more secure, and resource-efficient pathway to power the world of tomorrow.

OUR VISION

We envision an India where sustainability and self-reliance go hand in hand — a future driven by innovation, powered by clean energy, and free from the environmental costs of traditional mining.
Our vision is to empower an Aatmanirbhar Bharat by transforming battery waste into strategic resources, turning what was once discarded into a valuable asset for the nation. By pioneering advanced recycling technologies and circular economy practices, we aim to provide mining-free access to critical battery materials, reducing dependency on imports and strengthening the domestic supply chain.
We see a world where India leads the global clean energy revolution, not just as a consumer but as a creator and innovator — where waste becomes wealth, and every step forward in technology also takes us closer to environmental harmony. Through this vision, we are committed to building a resilient, resource-efficient, and sustainable energy future, where economic growth aligns with ecological responsibility and national strength is rooted in green innovation.

  • To empower an Aatmanirbhar Bharat by converting battery waste into strategic national resources
  • To establish a mining-free, sustainable alternative for accessing critical battery materials
  • To reduce dependency on imports and strengthen India’s self-reliance in clean energy infrastructure

Through innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, we aim to create a circular economy that not only meets the nation's energy needs but also contributes to environmental conservation and economic growth.

  • Implement cutting-edge technologies for efficient lithium-ion battery recycling.
  • Ensure 100% traceability and compliance with environmental standards.
  • Promote a circular economy by reusing and repurposing battery materials.
  • Collaborate with government initiatives like Mission LiFE to promote sustainability.
  • Invest in research and development to continuously improve recycling processes and battery performance.

THE CHALLENGE

1. Fragmented and Informal Recycling Practices

A significant portion of battery recycling in India is handled by unregulated informal sectors. This leads to environmental hazards and health risks due to improper disposal and processing methods. Furthermore, it fails to contribute to a valuable circular economy capable of producing EV-grade ‘Made in India’ lithium-ion batteries.

2. Limited Recycling Infrastructure

India faces a shortage of advanced recycling facilities capable of efficiently processing end-of-life lithium-ion batteries. This lack of infrastructure hinders the development of a robust circular economy.

3. High Recycling Costs

Safe and effective recycling of lithium-ion batteries requires sophisticated technology and significant investment, making the process economically challenging for many organizations.

4. Lack of Standardization

Diverse battery chemistries and inconsistent designs complicate the recycling process. This results in inefficiencies and higher costs for material recovery.

5. Inadequate Reverse Logistics

The absence of a structured reverse supply chain for collecting and transporting used batteries presents logistical challenges, affecting the overall efficiency of recycling operations.

6. Absence of Circular Economy

India remains heavily dependent on China for critical materials. Materials like black mass containing lithium, cobalt, and nickel are exported from India to China, where they are processed into new and advanced batteries using cutting-edge technology. India aims to replicate this model domestically, reducing emissions and contributing to its Net Zero target.
